A French word for “The small village”. This concept became common during the 18th century among the European rich and nobility, when it was fashionable to create their own small villages on their farms. This group of country-style houses had a simple look but were actually very luxurious and extremely comfortable as their residents were freed from formal life shackles.

The most famous of these small villages is Hameau de la Reine which was ordered by Queen Marie Antoinette in the Chateau de Versailles in France and was preceded by Hameau de Chantilly built by Duke Louis Joseph in 1774. The royal Hameau inspired us to see the idea of small communities. Communities designed specifically for its residents to reflect their personalities and inclinations and embrace their way of living. We named it “Tailored Communities” where its residents enjoy living the sense of one harmonious family.
